I love the pregnancy cravings!!! It is such a good excuse to eat pretty much whatever you want. I let them get the best of me yesterday and went ahead and indulged myself by making chocolate covered strawberries. Not only are these one of the yummiest little treats but they are also so easy to make! The entire process took me about 20 minutes including prep time.

These are the perfect dessert appetizer to whip up for any occasion. Easter is only a few days away and this is a great way to mix it up by setting out a batch of these for family and friends. I promise they will be a definite hit among your guests.

These will look so professional, I can just about guarantee that your company will be asking you where you bought them!

Simple Chocolate Covered Strawberries:

  • 1 Bag - Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (Regular, Dark or White Chocolate)
  • 1 Pint of Strawberries

Preparation:

  • Clean strawberries. Dry completely on paper towels. The dryer you can get them the better. Even a little bit of water can sometimes keep the chocolate from adhering.
  • Place sprinkles, coconut, crushed nuts or any other type of toppings in small dipping dishes.
  • Place wax paper on flat tray.
  • Place chocolate chips in microwave safe bowl. Microwave for about 1 minute, stir and place back in microwave for about 20 seconds. Heat cautiously. It is always better to heat for less time and check, then to accidentally burn the sauce.
  • Dip your strawberries in chocolate sauce.
  • Dip in toppings.
  • Place on wax paper tray and place in fridge for cooling. This takes about 15 minutes.

Take out, and enjoy!
